For those amongst us who have interest in perusing a career in behavior research, there are a couple of question that they need to ask themselves. Cognitive: The cognitive sub category deals with studying the behavior of a human. This is the specialization for the psychiatrists. The treatment methods are discussions along with problem solving skills. This degree of behavior sciences can be rewarding as the numbers of people requiring a psychiatrists help never ceases.
Child: This field deals with working with children of smaller age groups and is by far the most challenging of all. There is a need to be careful and considerate as the children are prone to higher degree of stress and trauma compared to an adult. The main concern of a professional working in this area is to bring these children out of their situation to help them lead a normal life.
Clinical: This sub category finds its roots in public awareness and aid. The classes of people to be treated are students from schools and universities, people suffering from addiction, groups in healthcare centers etc. The work environment is that of a clinic.
Forensic: This kind of research field includes working on cases that are legal in nature. The category of work may be of crime or fraud. A person of this stature would be helping the judicial system evaluate the condition of an accused for cases of insanity etc.
Sports: This kind of degree is to help the people of the sports fraternity. All sportsmen require a designated level of mental stability without which they cannot perform.
